Last month, I made some progress on projects that I have been contemplating for a long time. This month, I will be slowing down a bit because my husband’s birthday is next week and then, of course, we will be celebrating Thanksgiving. So, with that said, here are my goals for this month:
- Keep working at developing systems for our home. Last month I read Large Family Logistics and put the finishing touches (at least for now) on my Daily Routines. This month, I am going to focus on refining my weekly schedule/routines. Following the Large Family Logistics system assigns a specific focus to each day of the week (Monday is Laundry day, etc.). I have already come up with a general outline of when these things work for our family (or at least when I think they should work best
). Now, I need to spend time developing a list for what I need to do on those days so that I can “do the next thing”. - Plan details for our Thanksgiving celebration. We will be staying home for Thanksgiving this year, so I need to locate all of our food to prepare a big feast that will not make anyone sick!
- Begin studying and implementing the Power of a Praying Wife and the Power of a Praying Parent in my daily prayers. I bought these books a while ago and have read the first chapter or so of each. I would like to incorporate them into my daily prayers in a more intentional way. I am participating in the Good Morning Girls study right now which takes care of my M-F quiet times, but I’m thinking that Saturday and Sunday would be a good time to start studying a chapter a week (from each book) and add my prayers to my prayer lists for each member of the family.
This post will be linked up to the 3 in 30 link up here.

Great goals. I loved Power of a Praying Wife and Parent. Sometimes when I am in a rush, I pick them up and randomally pray a prayer over my husband and kids.
I have used the Time Warped Wife’s idea of daily coordinated jobs. If you want I could send you my chart I made.
I’m excited that so many of us are going to do 3 in 30 this month.
Wow! Great goals! It sounds like you are doing some fabulous stuff for your family! How are you finding those books – I am thinking about buying them and working through them as well.
You’ve got great goals for this month. Reading Large Family Logistics helped me streamline some of my household chores, too.
Those are fabulous books! I have them but haven’t read them in a bit – I might need to go and pick them back up
Hope you have a great weekend!!
Having a system helps families of all sizes. Here’s to a great month of goal reaching ahead of us!
Great goals. You’ll love those books!!
